Dr. Levine is an executive Director for B.V. Murray & Co.,
and
Co-managing Partner of BVM Capital Partners Ltd,. an affiliated
company in the UK, and is responsible for the firm's Vienna office
and for European business.
Dr. Levine is also an independent member of the Board of Directors
and Chairman of the Risk Committee of Ak Bars Bank, the largest
bank in the Republic of Tatarstan, majority owned by the Republic's
Government.
Prior to joining B.V. Murray & Co., Dr. Levine was an advisor
to the
Board of Donau Bank AG in Vienna, Austria. He advised on
economic and business issues in Russia and other countries of the former
Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, assisting the bank's Russian and
Western Clients to raise debt and equity capital and in arranging
financing from private sources and on public markets.
Dr. Levine has extensive knowledge and experience in the energy
and
raw materials sector and wrote several books and articles on
international trade and regulation of world commodity markets.
Dr. Levine holds a PhD in Economics from IMEMO (Russian
Academy of Science, Moscow), completed a post graduate course in
International Trade and Finance at the Institue of World Economy
&
International Relations and a full 5-year course in International
Economics, Finance and Banking at the Moscow Finance Academy.
Dr. Levine is fluent in English, French, German and Russian (his
native
language). He is sharing his time between Vienna and London.
